PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a variable display device variably displaying identification information by movements of an image by providing a control section independently of a game control section and reducing load on the game control section. SOLUTION: An image display section 178 formed of a liquid crystal display device is provided in the front of a slot machine 1. The image display section 178 rotates/stops three virtual reels provided in a three-dimensional virtual space, transparently transforms them and displays two-dimensional image data projected on a two-dimensional plane. In other words, patterns are varyingly displayed by the rotation of the virtual reels. The virtual reels themselves are transparent and are designed so as to allow so that a background image data are inserted between data on the rear side and data on the front side and to dramatize by the background of a varying image. Control for displaying images on the image display section 178 is taken care of by an output control section provided independently therefrom on the basis of a command from a game control section.
