PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such as a problem that the incidence of vulcanization trouble at the edge of a tread is high, crack damage is developed in the vicinity of the edge of the tread, and production efficiency is low in manufacturing a radial tire having a TOS structure. SOLUTION: Strip materials 8 having the same quality as the rubber of side walls, are integrally extruded to the abrasion rubbers 7 of the folded-back parts 4A of a carcass 4 to be molded, and the left and right side edge rubbers 12B of rubber sheets 12 constituting the tread and the side walls, are subjected to stitching-down 12C to perform vulcanization molding using a green cover molded and bonded to the strip materials 8.
