PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit adjusting mechanism for a collimator in an X-ray CT apparatus, capable of adjusting slit width with high accuracy in adjusting relatively narrow slit width. SOLUTION: The collimator 6b is composed of shielding plates 60, 61, and the shielding plate 60 is supported by a parallel moving link mechanism to a base part 65 of a gantry 3. The parallel moving link mechanism is composed of a pair of parallel crank members 63 each of which is rotatably supported at one end by a rotating shaft 62a provided at the base part 65, and supported at the other end by a rotating shaft 62b provided near the end part of the shielding plate 60. The shielding plate 61 is fixed to the base part 65 so as to face the shielding plate 60. The shielding plate 60 is rotated around the rotating shaft 62a as a fulcrum by a motor 7a.
