BACILLUS SP. EXTN-1 STRAIN AND METHOD FOR INDUCING SYSTEMIC RESISTANCE AGAINST PLANT DISEASES USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A Bacillus sp. EXTN-1 strain and a method for inducing systemic resistance against plant diseases using the same are provided, thereby effectively inhibiting plant diseases. CONSTITUTION: The Bacillus sp. EXTN-1 strain (KFCC-11181) is capable of inducing the systemic resistance for disease in plants. The systemic resistance for disease in plants is induced by cultivating Bacillus sp. EXTN-1(KFCC-11181) in a growth medium; diluting the cultivated medium of Bacillus sp. EXTN-1 into a 3% carboxy methyl carbonate(CMC) solution to regulate the cell concentration of dilution to 109 cfu/ml; dipping seeds of cucumber in a mixture of 75% of ethylalcohol and 1% sodium hypochlorite for 1 minute; washing the seeds with distilled water and drying them; and dipping the dried seeds the CMC solution produced above for 1 hour.
