PURPOSE: A pen of safety lock type is provided to increase the storage amount of ink as well as to improve the appearance of the pen while receiving a safety member within an outer vessel. CONSTITUTION: The pen of safety lock type comprises an outer vessel(2) having a longitudinal guide bore(8); a core(10) formed with a tip(12) on the one end; a clip(30) assembled to the one distal end of the outer vessel and having a longitudinal loop(32); a cap(20) assembled with the outer vessel on the opposite side of the clip; an elastic member(26) installed between the cap and the core to force the core far away from the cap; a push member(40) movable installed in the outer vessel on the opposite side of the elastic member; a lock member(50) disposed between the elastic member and the core; and a safety member(60) installed in the guide bore of the outer vessel. When the push member is pushed once, the tip of the core is exposed out of the cap to achieve a writing condition, and when the push member is pushed again, the tip of the core is retreated inside of the cap by the elastic force, thus an eccentric shaft becomes installed. In the writing condition, the safety member is located adjacent the loop of the clip with being coupled to the eccentric shaft, and in the release condition, the safety member is located in the guide bore after being separated from the loop.
