PURPOSE: To largely reduce the transmission data amount from a plurality of cameras to an image processor for generating a composite image without lowering the quality of the image. CONSTITUTION: A resolution specifying unit 260 specifies a resolution needing in the case of compositing images for each region of each camera image according to a corresponding relationship between the composited image described in a mapping table 220 and each camera image. A compressing unit 120 provided in a camera 10 compresses camera image data in response to the specified resolution. The image data of the camera image compressed according to the corresponding relationship between the composite image and the camera image is transmitted to a transmission route 15.
