PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vitamin C- or its derivative-containing egg fortified with nutrients, and to provide a method for producing vitamin C-containing egg through efficiently adding vitamin C or its derivative thereto, and to efficiently produce any of eggs such as unshelled egg, raw egg, boiled egg and seasoned egg by the above method. SOLUTION: This vitamin C-containing egg is characterized by containing 1-3,000 mg of vitamin C or its derivative based on 100 g of the edible part thereof. The other objective method is characterized by comprising contacting an egg with a vitamin C- or its derivative-containing liquid component to impregnate the egg with 1-3,000 mg of vitamin C or its derivative based on 100 g of the edible part thereof. |
