PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incineration ash treatment process by which the volume of incineration ash to be subjected to fusion/solidification can efficiently be reduced and accordingly, the scale of fusion/solidification facilities can be reduced and also the treatment cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: This treatment process comprises: charging incineration ash into a treatment space of a grinding treatment device 30 and adding water to the charged incineration ash; grinding granules in the resulting incineration ash into finer granules by applying compressive force and intergranular frictional force to the granules in the incineration ash; thereafter, separating and extracting a very fine grain fraction from the finer granules by using a liquid cyclone 50; drying the very fine grain fraction in a drying furnace 81; and thereafter, charging the dried very fine grain fraction into a fusion furnace 82 to fuse and solidify the very fine grain fraction.
