FURNACE BODY-SUPPORTING METHOD USED FOR MODIFICATION OF BLAST FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supporting a furnace body at modification of a blast furnace, capable of more shortening the time period required for dismantling and constructing a blast furnace, simplifying the modification work (dismantling and construction work) and reducing the modification and construction expenses. SOLUTION: This furnace body-supporting method used for modification of a blast furnace comprises cutting and dividing a furnace body from its top to bottom into several ring-like blocks and adjusting the respective numbers of lift jacks and suspension rods attached to the lift jacks for supporting the furnace body comprising the ring blocks except those already carried in or out of the foundation of blast furnace by a lift-up method according to the number of carried-in/out blocks.
