A known microphone array provides a spatial selectivity which has higher gain at certain directions and lower gain or even null at other directions. In this present invention, a first array (1) composed of omni-directional microphones (OM01, ..., OM0m) is combined with a second array (2) composed of directional microphones (DM01, ..., DM0n). An adaptive signal processor (4) is used to get a localization of the desired speaker and a processed signal (oz(i)) by a delay and sum beamforming operation. A motor (3) is used to steer said second array (2) to the localization of the desired speaker. Then a beamforming circuitry (5) is used to get a result signal (zz(i)) which has a signal-to-noise ratio. |
