PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system for discriminating whether the user of an article is a legal user or not without requiring high level data processing when using the article. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a first identifier 1A in which first identification data 3A are recorded concomitantly with the article 2A, a second identifier 1B in which second identification data 3B is recorded concomitantly therewith, an identification device 4 for comparing/collating both the identification data and issuing an authentication signal 8 when both the identification data match with each other or satisfy the present condition and a controller 5 for making the article to be controlled available on the basis of the authentication signal 8. Besides, the first identification data 3A recorded on the article 2A are collated with the second identification data 3B recorded on the identifier 1B owned by a person trying to use the article, then it is discriminated from the first identification data 3A and the second identification data 3B whether person trying to use the article is authorized user or not. |
