PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a device for presenting the audio of contents transmitted by broadcasting or communication or recorded in a recorder such as VTR or video disk to a viewer in the audio of a desired lan guage does not exist therefore. SOLUTION: This device is provided with at least a means 2, which is located on the side for respectively receiving and reproducing contents transmitted or recorded while including character information expressing audio, for automatically translating the character information to a desired language, a means 3 for providing an audio synthesizing parameter by analyzing the audio of the contents and an audio synthesizing means 5 for synthesizing audio signals corresponding to each of languages while using the provide audio synthesizing parameter for every desired language translated by the automatic translating means.
