<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction without the detection of a touch position even if a cover touches a touch panel in a state where the cover is closed in an electronic unit provided with the touch panel as an input device such as PDA(personal digital assistants). SOLUTION: When the cover is in an opened state, a constant voltage is applied to the touch panel 17 and a system becomes the detection waiting state of a touch operation in accordance with the detection of the opening/closing of the cover by a cover opening/closing recognition part 15 by a touch panel control processing at an opening/closing cooperation mode. When the cover is in a closed state, the application of the voltage to the touch panel 17 is stopped and the system becomes the non-detection state of the touch operation. Thus, a gap between the cover and the touch panel 17 is eliminated and the unit is thinned. Thus, the touch panel is prevented from being turned on and from malfunctioning even if the rear of the cover touches the touch panel 17.</p> |
