<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device capable of using a plurality of fonts differently and realizing character size change, character decoration, etc., simply by performing a normal character input operation without switching input modes or performing a conversion operation. SOLUTION: A keyboard 10 is provided with a pressure sensor part 12 for detecting the pressure of key depression. A user sets in advance the contents of a character type (character expression form defined by font sets, character size, the existence/absence of character decoration, etc.), that varies in accordance with the level of a key depression pressure and stores the set information into a memory 20. The pressure of the key depression is converted into the code of a character type corresponding to the depression pressure on the basis of character code data corresponding to the key depression and pressure level data at the time when the key is pressed down, and the final character output is obtained. A mode that detects key depression continuation time can be used in place of the detection of the key depression pressure, and a mode that detects the voice pressure of an inputted voice can be used in a voice input device.</p> |
