PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve automatic making of a tool path for a product having various recesses, holes and insular parts, and the processing, and to achieve the making of the tool path having constant machining allowance coping with both of a product shape and a material shape. SOLUTION: The method for making the tool path and the processing method are characterized by the following. In the product having a recess part C partly, there are extracted the product shape PS and the material shape MS, to set a material shape offset line MFn which are offset not less than a tool radius in the outside of the material shape. Then, there is set a product shape offset line PFn wherein the product shape is offset not less than the tool radius in the outside of the product shape, which intrudes into the recess part. A portion of the PFn outside the MFn is set as a tool path baseline PCn. Outward from the PCn to the inside of the recess, there is offset sequentially to make a plurality of tool paths TAn. There is found the material shape Mn (n=2) after machining based on the tool path, to make the tool path accordingly.
