PURPOSE: A high voltage generation circuit is provided, which pumps a high voltage level accurately by operating a number of high voltage pump circuits in sequence. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage level detection part(10) outputs a detection signal(DET) by detecting a high voltage level, and a high voltage pump control part(20) outputs a high voltage pump signal(VPPEN) according to the detection signal of the high voltage level detection part. An oscillator(30) outputs a pulse signal(OSC) to drive a high voltage pump according to the high voltage pump control signal(VPPEN) of the high voltage pump control part. High voltage pumps(401-40N) are driven by the pulse signal of the oscillator and the high voltage pump control signal. A sequential delay part(50) delays the pulse signal of the oscillator in sequence. And a high voltage clamping part(60) clamps a level of the high voltage level according to the detection signal of the high voltage level detection part if the high voltage level becomes above a fixed level.
