PURPOSE: A surface acoustic wave device is provided to drastically improve a balance between a pair of balanced signal terminals. CONSTITUTION: A surface acoustic wave device(1) includes a piezoelectric substrate(2), at least one interdigital transducer(IDT)(5-7) disposed on the piezoelectric substrate(2), and an input end and an output end connected to the IDTs(5-7). At least one of the input end and the output end includes a pair of balanced signal terminals(16,17), and a delay line or a reactance component connected to one of the pair of balanced signal terminals(16,17).
