ASSEMBLY EQUIPPED WITH DETENT FUNCTION OF GEAR ENGAGEMENT AND NEUTRAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly improved in a detent function of a gear engagement and a neutral for shifting a speed change gear and a neutral signal operation function. SOLUTION: An assembly 10 provides the detent function of the gear engagement and the neutral signal operation function by using a simple detent member 22. A shift member 12 has gear engagement grooves 32 and 34 whose depths 38 and 36 are different with each other and a neutral detent groove 30. A plug assembly 18 holding the neutral member 22 is fitted with sensors 42 and 44 and the signal is supplied by detecting the moment when the detent member 22 is in an axial position along the second axis 24 according as the shift member 12 is in neutral position.
