PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a western style flush toilet bowl capable of realizing a reduction in shipment cost while enhancing assembly workability within a factory and conveyance properties. SOLUTION: This water closet is provided with a western style toilet bowl body 1, a private-part washing mechanism 3b installed in the back part of the body 1 and enabling the washing of the private part of a human body, and a toilet flushing mechanism 4c installed to rearward of the mechanism 3b in the back part of the body 1 and enabling the body 1 to be washed with washing water. The mechanism 3b is mounted on the body 1 mainly through the medium of a front base plate 3a, and the mechanism 4c is mounted on the body 1 through the medium of a rear base plate 4a. The plate 3a can be elevated so as to expose at least the rearward portion of the basin surface of the body 1. The plates 3a and 4a can be fixed to/separated from each other by a hook 6.
