PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of capacity due to retention and solidification of soil or the like in a dead space, in which a blade does not reach, in an agitation type mixer. SOLUTION: In the mixing equipment for improving the strength or grain size distribution of excavated soil, the mixing equipment is composed of an introducing port introducing a substance to be mixed, a main body section, in which a mixture is mixed and to which the mixture is transferred, a plurality of agitating rotors, which are installed to the main body section and have shafts approximately rectangular to the direction of the transfer of the mixture and in which a large number of rotating blades are mounted on the shafts, and a discharge opening discharging the mixture from the main body section. A plane containing a plurality of the agitating rotors is horizontal or is within 45 deg. from horizontality in the mixing equipment, in which a plurality of the agitating rotors are secured to different shafts respectively, and the base of the main body section can be reciprocated in at least the progressive direction in the mixing equipment, in which the plane is approximately parallel with the direction of the transfer of the mixture.
