PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an air conditioning apparatus for automobile as can properly adjust the difference of temperature in bi-level mode between the air at the vent blow-out opening and the air at foot blow-out opening with making unit case smaller in the direction of front and rear of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the air conditioning apparatus for an automobile in which a foot blow-out opening 17 is arranged by the side of a unit case 5 and near the lower part of by-pass passage 8 of the cool air, such an arrangement is made that there are provided a cool air guide part 18 leading the air in the cool air by-pass passage 8 to the middle part of the unit case 5 in the direction of the right and left of the vehicle and a warm air guide part 19 leading the air at the lower part of the warm air passage 9 to the foot blow-out opening 17.
