A test tool for circuit breakers in high-voltage plants comprises an adapted gripping means (21-26) at the end of an insulated, elongate arm. Near the gripping means there is also arranged a voltage indicator and/or a gas sniffer on a separate socket (1) with a built-in optical signal transmitter. A fiberoptic cable (2, 9) runs from this transmitter to a receiver (10) in the other end of the arm. Internally in the arm there is a stiff rotatable shaft (5) that is used for tightening the gripping means (21-26) around a voltage-carrying component, by rotating a crank handle in the other end of the arm. In this other end, it is also possible to mount a vibration accelerometer for measuring vibrations propagating through the stiff shaft (5) from the voltage-carrying component when this component is vibrating, for instance in connection with opening of the circuit breaker. |
