PURPOSE:To keep the scanning start position on a medium to be scanned constant, and to reduce an unmagnification error and variable magnification error when a scanning speed fluctuates due to the change of an environment. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a deflector 3 which deflects a beam of light irradiated from a light source 1, and a synchronization detector 9 which receives light beam 8 for detecting synchronization deflected by the deflector 3, and an exposure distribution corresponding to a picture signal is formed on the medium to be scanned synchronously with a prescribed clock by the detection signal of the synchronization detector 9. Also, the device is equipped with a scanning speed detecting means which detects the change of the scanning speed based on the change of receiving time of the synchronization detector 9, and a clock control means which changes the clock based on the detected result of the scanning speed detecting means. |
