PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio reproducing device capable of easily performing various kinds of sound reproducing having satisfactory frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a means 10 for detecting the class of an input audio signal and the class of an output step and a control means 10 for detecting/switching these classes. Besides, the device is provided with frequency characteristic varying means 19 and 20 for input signals and a stereo loudspeaker 18 and a monaural loudspeaker 16 of the output step are switched by turning on/off the connection of a power source, for example.
