PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an almost unnecessary reverse breakdown voltage charac teristic as the characteristic of a thyristor used in such a voltage-type power conversion device, to reduce the man-hour of a manufacture process, the number of parts and assembly man-hour, and to reduce cost. SOLUTION: In a reverse inhibition three terminal thyristor constituted of a PE layer 11, an NB layer 12, a PB layer 13 and an NE layer 14, the thickness of the PE layer 12 is formed to about 1/3 of a conventional one and an auxiliary board is not installed for fitting the thyristor to an outer member.
