PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for feeding raw leaves of tea, capable of always continuously carrying out the feed of the raw leaves of the tea to a storing device of the raw leaves of the tea. SOLUTION: This apparatus for feeding the raw leaves of the tea, having a buried container 1, a taking-out conveyor 2, a hopper 3 and a feeding conveyor 4, has plural first detecting means 16, and a controlling means 19 for controlling the apparatus so that the raw leaves of the tea may be discharged from the buried container 1 when the raw leaves of the tea are not detected by the detecting means 16 at a prescribed number from the farthest first detecting means 16 from the hopper 3.
