PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antioxidant which has no uneasiness of the side effect of synthetic antioxidants when used in the fields of foods, cosmetics, and drugs and has anti-oxidant capacity withstanding the use in the above fields. SOLUTION: The antioxidant contains an extract of Zanthoxylum piperitum seeds as the effective component.
