PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting work to a battery post. SOLUTION: The battery terminal 100 comprises a terminal main body 50 having a post fitting portion 51 for fitting to the adapter 12 of the battery post 1 and an operating lever 60 which is mounted rotatably on the terminal main body and which pressure contacts the post fitting portion to the adapter by rotating operation from a first position to the second position and releases the above pressure-contact by rotating operation from the second position to the first position. In the battery terminal 100, concave portions 91, 92 and a convex portion 93 which are mutually capable of engaging are provided at the side plate 52 of the terminal main body 50 and the side plate 62 of the operating lever 60 respectively for temporarily holding elastically the operating lever 60 at the first and second positions.
