PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator which has high steam generating ability and a simple structure. SOLUTION: A water supply port 9 is provided at the lower end of the pipe 3 of this steam generator 1 and a steam generating port 11 is provided at the upper end of the pipe 3. On the upstanding section 3b of the pipe 3, heat- exchanging fins 5 are radially provided. Below the fins 5, a burner 7 is set up so as to surround the upstanding section 3b and the flame of the burner 7 hits the fins 5. Since this steam generator 1 is constituted to intensively heat the water in the pipe 3, the heating efficiency becomes higher and the time required until steam is generated after the burner 7 is ignited becomes shorter. In addition, since the heat-exchanging fins 5 are provided, the heating ability of the generator is further improved.
