Elaidyl-lysyl-phenylalanyl-lysine useful as an anti-ageing additive in cosmetic compositions

The lipopeptide, elaidyl-lysyl-phenylalanine-lysine(elaidyl-KFK) has been found to activate the peptide TGF beta 1, which is one of the most important regulators in the synthesis of the dermal skin layer. The product elaidyl-lysyl-phenylalanine-lysine of the following formula (I) is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparation of (I); and (2) cosmetic compositions containing the new product.
