PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting pointer which gives no unpleasant feeling to audience and enables labor saving, and an instructed position detecting system, a presentation system and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: A PC 500 uses a judgement section 532 to judge whether a light emitting pointer 100 is instructed and operated and satisfies the condition to emit light beams within a prescribed range or not based on the working information of the PC 500 and a CCD camera 40, the instructing information of the pointer 100 from a transmitting and receiving section 60 and the imaging information from the camera 40. Only when the condition is satisfied, the PC 500 uses a control information generating section 534 to generate control information to continuously emit light beams from the pointer 100 and the control information is radio-transmitted to the pointer 100 by using the section 60.
