PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which a user of a portable telephone obtains trial listening music data of an incoming call melody without being charged and the user actually reproduces the data by using the user's own portable telephone. SOLUTION: An audio data delevering server 20 delivers trial music data to a user's portable telephone without charging for the use of the data in accordance with the request made by a portable telephone 60 or delivers normal music data to the telephone 60 with a charge. The delivered data are actually reproduced by the portable telephone. However, the number of reproductions is limited and the data are erased from the memory (a RAM63) of the telephone after the limited number of reproductions are made.
