<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electromagnetic steel plate with a directional property for general purpose which requires a cost reduction, in which lowers a slab heating temperature to the same level for standard steels and gives superior magnetic properties. SOLUTION: The method includes; making a silicon containing steel slab of which the S and N content in the steel is controlled to be S: 0.005 mass% or less and N: 0.007 mass% or less respectively as raw materials; casting on continuous casting with controlling an extension direction of a columnar crystal of the slab to be in a range between 5 deg. or more and 15 deg. or less against a perpendicular direction to the surface of the slab; and keeping a steel plate in a temperature zone of 1100 deg.C or less for 104.S(%) seconds or more depending on the S content (S(%)) in the slab, between the start of finish rolling and the end of rough rolling.</p> |
