THIN FILM MAGNETIC HEAD AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film magnetic head capable of preventing corrosion of a magnetic recording element part and to provide a method for manufacturing the thin film magnetic head. SOLUTION: The thin film magnetic head and the method for manufacturing the thin film magnetic head are characterized by that the thin film magnetic head has two or more layers of magnetic metal films having redox potential different from one another in a head sliding surface facing to a magnetic recording medium of the thin film magnetic head and has a structure in which a local cell is constructed in a position different from the position of a recording gap or a reproducing gap by using the magnetic metal films.
