PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform operation, through which the rolled paper charging part of a rolled paper printer is locked at a position where a front cover is closed, by a low operation force. SOLUTION: A hook 73 for locking the front cover 6 at a closing position is formed at the rear end part of a control lever 7 for opening/closing the front cover 6 of a front opening 5 for charging the rolled paper in the rolled paper printer 1. When the front cover 6 is rotated toward the closing position, an operation auxiliary part 23A formed at an oscillating link 23 to rotate the front cover 6 pushes up a corner part 7A of the operation lever 7 from below on this side of the closing position and the hook 73 is pressed down against a spring force. When the front cover 6 is closed, the operation auxiliary part 23A is dislocated from the operation lever 7 and the hook 73 is transferred to a locking state. Since an operation force required for locking of the front cover 6 is relieved by a push-up force generated by the operation auxiliary part 23A, the front cover 6 can be operated for opening and closing by a low operation force.
