PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm completion of engagement, after a male connector is engaged with a female connector. SOLUTION: An engagement completion-displaying unit 22 is provided in the housing 12 of a male connector 10. The engagement completion-displaying unit 22 is equipped with a display component 52 incorporated slidably into covers 48, 50, a compression coil spring 54 for storing spring force to move the display component 52 from a stand-by position to a display position, and a detaining component 36 for detaining the display component 52 at the stand-by position against the spring force. The detaining component 36 releases the display component 52, when a female connector housing 18 goes to its engagement completion position. Thereby, the display piece 52 moves from the stand-by position to the display position, and the tip part protrudes from the covers 48, 50 to display the completion of engagement. When releasing the engagement, a protuberance 46 is engaged with an engaging claw 40 to pull back the display component 52 to the stand-by position.
