PURPOSE: A solid video sensor and a driving method of the same are provided to improve the utilization efficiency of the cell and prevent a degradation due to the decrease of the cell size by composing the cell of a vertical charge transition unit and twin photoelectric transform units arranged on both sides of the vertical charge transition unit. CONSTITUTION: A cell(10) consists of twin photoelectric transform units(11) arranged in a horizontal and a vertical charge transition unit(12) between the twin photoelectric transform units(11). The vertical charge transition unit(12) has twin vertical charge transition electrodes(13). The twin photoelectric transform units(11) are arranged on both sides of the vertical charge transition unit(12) following the twin vertical charge transition electrode(13). The horizontal array of the twin photoelectric transform units(11) forms a scanning line.
