PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and excellently engage a gasket and sufficiently display waterproofing performance by means of both a joint sheet and a gasket in joint waterproofing construction using the sheet. SOLUTION: A joint material 10 for waterproofing the joint interposed between exterior members 30 and 30 in the exterior face of a building is of belt- like shape broader than the interval between joints J, can deform in a thickness direction when compressed and has an adhesive face and a center section 14 which is thinner than the side end section 12 in a cross direction. Since there is the thin center section 14 in the bottom face of the joint J, the depth of the joint J is sufficiently secured, and the function of a gasket 40 can also be excellently displayed.
