PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feeding method for preventing a document from being obliquely fed without using a document cursor by a very simple means, as for an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: As for the automatic document feeding method for the electrophotographic device, by setting the document so that the leading end of the document may abut on the part between a pair of paper feed rollers, the document is carried into an image exposing area in accordance with the movement of the rollers, and the document is carried by operating the paper feed rollers at a fixed time lag after the document is set.
