PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with cost and processing time in a conventional adapter for a storage unit having a configuration of using a multiplication circuit, a division circuit and a remainder circuit as a means of converting an LBA mode address into a CHS mode address. SOLUTION: An LBA address storage means 111, a CHS address storage means 110 which comprises a cylinder number storage means 112, a head number storage means 113 and a sector number storage means 114 in the CHS mode address, and a selector 118 are provided. By selecting a value by the LBA address storage means 111 or the CHS address storage means 110 with the selector 118 after simultaneously updating the above storage means 111-114, the above-mentioned problems can be solved. |
