The local electrical charge distribution device uses an electrically conductive coating (5) with a surface resistance of less than 1 Ohm, which is applied to at least one surface (4) of the battery (1), the area of the surface coating surrounding the negative battery pole (3) spaced from the latter by a distance which prevents an electrical connection between them. The conductive coating can be provided by an applied foil, with a potential dissipation region (6) enclosing the negative battery pole.
