The dispenser has a fluid container (4) fitted under the bowl rim (2), and held on a carrier (7). A trough-shaped chamber (8) below the dispenser opening (5) has an intake and an outlet (9,10) for flushing water. The dispenser opening has a closure element (13) with seal, which is opened and closed by a float (11) located in the trough-shaped chamber. The fluid additive contains 1-25% in weight fragrance, 10-50% in weight anionic or non-anionic tenside, 1-20% in weight non-evaporating water-soluble evaporation control medium, pref. 0,1-15% in weight thickening agent, with the residue consisting of water or a mixture of water and alcohol.
