In order to simplify and accelerate the design of articles of clothing, a data storage device (2) is provided, which stores, in digital form, computer-aided readable patterns (5) for the computer-aided design of articles of clothing. These patterns (5) can be read and processed with the aid of a commercially available computer (1) in order to be able to generate images or image data corresponding to defined articles of clothing or designs. The data storage device (2) can be preferably provided in the form of an exchangeable data carrier. The data storage device (2) containing the patterns (5) stored in digital form can also be connected to a central computer (3), which enables an online data transmission of the stored patterns (5) to a corresponding receiver (1) via corresponding interface. This can involve both the use of a local data transmission network as well as a global data transmission network, especially the Internet. |
