PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, since rotary reaping blades of a general purpose combine harvester equipped with the rotary reaping blades rotating around vertical axes are axially installed ahead a table or a table bottom plate at the front part of the table, when stem culms of Adzuki bean are reaped in a state of the rotary reaping blades on the ground or in a state of the tip blade edges thrust into the ground, soil is carried around backward and scattered together with the stem culms with the rotation action and mostly sent to the table to cause grains contaminated with soil. SOLUTION: In order to solve above the problem, this reaping apparatus for the general purpose combine harvester has a constitution that the rotary reaping blades 4 for reaping stem culms are axially installed at the lower side of the table bottom plate 3 extended to a front side from the front of the table 2 attached to a lower position of the front of a traveling body 1 to prevent scattering of soil.
