PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing chlorohydrin, capable of improving yield of the chlorohydrin, and capable of utilizing effectively chlorine. SOLUTION: This method of producing the chlorohydrin comprises a process where water is reacted with the chlorine to form hypochlorous acid and process where the hypochlorous acid is reacted with a double bond-containing hydrocarbon to form the chlorohydrin, wherein stirring/mixing of water with chlorine and with the double bond-containing hydrocarbon is carried out by using a static mixer.
