The invention relates to a shaft coupling (1) for axially connecting shaft ends to a transmission element that is configured as a cylinder with grooves (6) running in a peripheral direction and a central bore (4), whereby each groove (6) is connected to the central bore (4) by means of at least one opening (7) that extends in the peripheral direction and two grooves (6) which succeed each other in an axial direction respectively enclose an arc-shaped spring element (8), whereby one end of the spring element (8) is connected on the drive side and the other end of the spring element (8) is connected on the output side. The disadvantage of known compensating couplings is that the load-bearing capacity is significantly restricted by the production options. The aim of the invention is to provide a shaft coupling (1) with a compact construction, in particular with reduced radial space requirements, which can transmit high torques and can compensate considerable offset angles and parallel displacements despite reduced production expenditure, whilst at the same time exhibiting an increased strength and lifespan. To achieve this, the invention provides a shaft coupling (1), in which some spring elements (8) have a radial cross-sectional profile, at least over one part of their periphery, said profile tapering from the interior towards the exterior. One advantage of this is dynamic behaviour, coupled simultaneously with high transmissible torques. |
