Removal of toxins from fish products by carbon dioxide consists of pressurized reaction based on supercritical carbon dioxide mixed with acetic acid

The removal of toxins from fish products by carbon dioxide comprises passage of a mixture based on supercritical CO2 (ethanol content 5-20 per cent by volume) through the products partly dehydrated by lyophilisation. The toxins (DSP) are destroyed at 150-300 bar pressure of CO2 mixed with acetic acid (5-10 per cent by volume). The reaction chamber, sealed for 30 minutes to several hours, is finally depressurized.
