A thermoplastic composition containing styrene polymers and copolymer or their blends comprises optionally less than 2% internal lubricant, and 2-10 wt.% at least transparent external lubricant from oily solvents of mineral or vegetable oil, liquid silicones, glycol polymer, or glycol. Independent claims are also included for: (A) use to improve the intensity of the colors, gloss, and resistance to surface marking of articles manufactured from the inventive composition; and (B) a process for producing the inventive thermoplastic composition by preparing a styrenic polymer component comprising styrene polymer, styrene copolymers, or their blends; and blending a mixture comprising the polymer component with 2-10 wt.% at least the transparent external lubricant, and optionally less than 2% internal lubricant.
