摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high-quality images having lessened density unevenness of the images by optimizing intervals to carry out automatic phase control(APC), thereby decreasing the fluctuation quantity of the light quantity of laser diodes(LDs). SOLUTION: This image forming device has an optical writing means which writes the images by the LDs, a control means which contains a plurality of these LDs, controls the LDs by the intermittent APC based on sample/hold signals, performs constant current drive in a hold mode within an effective scanning period and adjusts the light quantity by the APC by independently shifting the respective LDs time-independently to a sample mode within a noneffective scanning period and an image forming means which forms the images by developing the latent images written by optical writing. The control means setsΔP: the do loop quantity [%] of LD output,ΔT: the temperature change quantity of the LD active regions, t1: LD drive time, t2: LD putting out time, n: the number of main scanning times of the APC intervals of the individual LDs, fv: a scanning frequency [Hz] for the respective LDs to be used in accordance with the prescribed equation.
