Stents with a radioactive surface coating useful for restenosis prevention
摘要
Radioactive stents are produced by immersing a non-radioactive stent in a solution that contains at least one radioactive isotope in ionic form. The isotope is then fixed on the surface of the stent by way of reduction or chemical precipitation; by galvanic deposition or cementation; or by an adhesive selected from a peptide, fat or gold in combination with a thiol-containing complexing agent.
